Suresh Balakrishna to join Kinetic as CEO South Asia & Middle East
Out-of-home advertising agency Kinetic, which is part of the WPP group, has appointed Suresh Balakrishna as Chief Executive Officer for India, the Middle East and South Asia.
Balakrishna will be joining Kinetic in January 2016, and will be reporting to Kinetic Worldwide Global chief executive officer Mauricio Sabogal, the company said in a statement.
He joins Kinetic from IPG Mediabrands' Initiative and Brand Programming Network (BPN).
Balakrishna was integral in bringing BPN to India and also making a big impact in growing the Mediabrand's Out of Home business across the country, the statement said.
"I'm very happy to welcome Suresh to the Kinetic team. He is a true media visionary who is very well regarded throughout India, and I am confident that he will be a real asset in helping us lead Kinetic into the future," Sabogal said.
“I have had four very exciting and fulfilling years at IPG Mediabrands, having said that I am looking forward to my new role. WPP is the world’s largest advertising group and Kinetic is India's largest OOH company, so taking an established company to greater heights in the South Asia and Middle East region will be a challenge which I am looking ,“ said Balakrishna.
