Coca-Cola’s Iconic Campaign Officially Marks the Start of Christmas

It simply isn't Christmas without Coca-Cola's iconic campaign. This year is no exception with Coca-Cola teaming up with Kinetic, the global leader in activating audiences on the move, and media agency MediaCom, to promote its ‘much-loved’ Christmas creative. The fun and festive Out of Home campaign is currently sparkling across Ireland for the month of December.

To get consumers into the festive spirit this Christmas, Coca-Cola is painting the town red with its distinctive creative and slogan, ‘HOLIDAYS ARE COMING’.  Special 2D billboards with Coca-Cola’s iconic truck have been constructed. The magical creative is covered in fibre optic LED lights, which are delivering stand-out imagery on the dark winter evenings. To bring the nostalgic trucks to the city centre, a special motion projection is running across Dublin on select nights where the Coca-Cola truck is festively paraded and projected across various buildings.

In line with its fun and sparkly theme, Coca-Cola is decorating the streets with large 3D replica billboards of festive Coca-Cola cans, measuring 4.5 metres. The campaign is also encouraging commuters to ‘Bring Home Christmas’, with a billboard special on Macken Street featuring creative which is halo-lit from behind.

For a brand synonymous with Christmas, we needed a campaign that would resonate with consumers at multiple touchpoints.  The creative and content for this campaign is so eye-catching and the use of special builds really helps to bring that extra sparkle.”

The campaign also includes OOH creative on the newly launched Luas Cross City Line, bringing festivity to commuters.  Travellers coming home for Christmas are greeted at Dublin Airport with the classic Coca-Cola Santa creative, welcoming them home. The colourful campaign can also be seen across Ireland on a range of Out of formats including large format billboards, 6 Sheets digital OOH and transport formats.
